ABOUT US
What kind of church are you?
We're a warm and caring church where people are helped and encouraged. We believe the Bible is relevant for today, and you could describe us as Evangelical and charismatic. We are also Baptist, and part of a new church network called Love Beyond.
Who's there?
People of all ages and background. British and international, some who have lived on the Isle of Dogs for many years. We have city workers and bakery workers; some with lots of education and some with little. Whoever you are, you'll find a warm welcome here!
What shall I wear?
There is no dress code, so we encourage you to come as you are! If it helps, most of us are usually pretty casual.
What is your style?
Our services are informal, with modern music and singing using guitar, voice and percussion. We try to tell the stories of what God is doing in our lives, and the progress of our projects.
Can I bring the children?
Children are welcome and children’s church happens during the talk. All who work with children are DBS checked.
Crossharbour Community Church (formerly Quaystone) started in 1991, with a vision to plant a new church to reach the Island. The church met for many years at Docklands Settlement Centre and Island House Community Centre.
We are currently meeting every other Sunday at Glengall Grove; in the intervening weeks we meet with City Gates Church at All Hallows on the wall.
Glengall Grove is a former London City Mission Hall that we are renewing as a cafe, worship space and community centre.

We are a church made up of many different nationalities and characters providing a diverse and stimulating community.
We are passionate about showing others the love of God in practical and prayerful ways, so you will find many of us involved in various ways serving the local communities on the Island. Crossharbour is committed to working with other churches to change lives in Tower Hamlets, and we have strong links with many
other organisations.

Our aim is to be an ‘active’ Church bringing the love of God into everyday life.
God is at work in our community and we pray that you will join us in seeking the plan He has for us collectively and as individuals.

We are a member of the Baptist Union of Great Britain and the Evangelical Alliance.
